Local Motifs

One of this year’s exciting additions: the “Local Motifs” category! In this category, we invite you to bring the colors, patterns, and cultural richness of our region to Starbucks cups. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reinterpret the inspiring traces of Anatolia through your own unique lens and reflect them in your design. Let your creativity shine, inspire with your work, and apply now—so we can see your mark on our Starbucks cups!

Main Category

Everyone has their own Starbucks... Some cling to their coffee in the morning rush; others drift into daydreams in their favorite corner. For some, it’s a meeting point with friends; for others, the sweetest companion to a work session. With the theme “Your Starbucks”, we’re in search of these deeply personal moments. Tell us your story through your design. Show us the person behind the coffee, the moment, the table. Pour your imagination into it, infuse it with emotion, and create a Starbucks that’s truly your own. Because this year, we want to discover “Your Starbucks” together. So go ahead, capture your Starbucks moment through design and claim your place in this creative journey!

Hand-Drawing

A fresh new twist in this year’s contest! We’re introducing the Hand-Drawn category in collaboration with edding, bringing a whole new dimension to the competition. In this category, participants will illustrate their personal “Your Starbucks” stories directly onto a Starbucks cup template using hand-drawn designs. These unique creations are then digitized and submitted to the contest.

Joie / Sevinç
This illustration aims to illustrate how coffee is a connecting element and a joyful detail for everyone at every moment of life. At the heart of the image, coffee comes to life in different time periods and places: under the first rays of the morning sun, in an office during busy work hours, on the beach, and while traveling. Coffee reflects a lifestyle and a cultural phenomenon beyond just a beverage.

Sweet Breeze
This design was inspired by Starbucks' Blond Roast coffee. I was careful to use shapes with similar characteristics to reflect the soft, smooth, and elegant taste of Blond Roast. By combining various coffee-related elements with soft, flowing lines, I aimed to achieve a peaceful and enjoyable aesthetic. The figure surfing on coffee beans surrounding the Starbucks logo and the figures resting in a large cup allude to the light and gentle flavor of coffee. I also used pastel green and yellow tones to make the design even softer and more elegant.

The Siren of Happiness for Every Moment
It brings together the small joys hidden within the busy flow of life. The energy of colors merges with the Siren's presence, which comes alive with every sip, and all paths lead to it at every moment of life. This Siren is more than a coffee break; it's a symbol of living in the moment, pausing at every stop to find profound meaning in small details. This Siren we see is an invitation, a call for each of us: Heed the Siren's timeless call with every sip, heed the Siren's timeless call with every sip.
