STARBUCKS RESERVE™ COSTA RICA HONEY PROCESSSugarcane with notes of strawberry, guava and sweet lemon
This Tarrazu coffee is processed using the honey method, leaving an intense sweetness in every cup, perfect for any guest, no matter where they are in their coffee journey and a great experience in all our favorite brewing methods.
This coffee has a sweetness - it is processed using the famous and labor-intensive system known as honey processing. The coffee cherries are peeled and the fruit is removed, but the sticky, honey-like goo remains intact. The drying beds are carefully tended and constantly rotated to prevent the beans from sticking. As the beans dry, the black coffee honey hardens. Its flavor penetrates the silver skin, ultimately affecting the sweetness of the bean. Beyond their dedication to processing, the farmers behind this coffee are also committed to their environment and the conservation of the endangered jaguars that share the land with them.
STARBUCKS RESERVE™ HONDURAS CAFICOBright citrus aromas meet notes of golden strawberry, cocoa and cinnamon in a tea-like body.
A group of farmers launched the CAFICO initiative to bring Corquín coffee to the global specialty coffee scene while providing better livelihoods for local coffee-producing families.
Fourteen years ago, 35 farmers in the Corquín region of Honduras formed a collective whose aim was to put their country on the specialty coffee map. Today, the 660 members of CAFICO (Café Finos Corquín) are proudly dedicated to exporting these exceptional coffees. With a tasting laboratory, cupping lab and multiple technicians checking quality control and certification, both the coffees and the lives of those who grow them continue to improve. Their efforts are reflected in this sweet, vibrant cup that exemplifies the bright future of Honduran coffee.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coffee
After roasting, coffee loses its flavour the more it is exposed to air and humidity. We recommend that you buy your coffee according to your needs, store it in an airtight container in a cool, out of the light place and grind it just before preparation. Thanks to the FlavourLock™ in the package of your Starbucks coffee, the coffee in your unopened package stays fresh until the expiry date.
Starbucks uses FlavourLock™ technology to preserve the freshness of its coffee beans. FlavourLock™ is a one-way packaging system that removes carbon dioxide from freshly roasted coffee beans through the sealed coffee pack, without letting oxygen in. This technology allows coffees to be packed immediately after roasting. Thus, our coffee, which we offer you in 250gr packages, remains fresh until you use it. Coffee beans retain their freshness for 1 week after the packs are opened. We recommend that ground coffee beans are consumed on the same day. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
For the freshest coffee taste, we recommend that you grind the coffee beans at the time of brewing. If you prefer, you can also have your coffee beans ground in our stores according to the brewing method. Your brewing management determines how your coffee should be ground;
* Coarse for the coffee press, * Medium for filter coffee machines, * Fine for espresso machines, * To cook with the Turkish Coffee method, your coffee beans must be very finely ground.
To enjoy a perfect Starbucks coffee at home, we recommend using a coffee press, because in a coffee press, coffee and water stay together for a long time. This allows the coffee to brew and release its flavor in the best way possible.
The ideal ratio for brewing your coffee in a coffee press is 10 g of freshly ground coffee for every 180 ml (6 ounces) of water. This recipe is based on a globally accepted ratio. For this brewing method, you can use the following amount of coffee beans ground for the coffee press:
* 7 Starbucks spoons of coffee (50 g) for 8c press *4 Starbucks spoons of coffee (28 g) for 4c press * 3 Starbucks spoons of coffee for 3c press (21 g)
When brewing your coffee in the coffee press, using boiled water after resting for 2 minutes will help your coffee to brew better. You can prepare and drink your coffee with hot water after 4 minutes of brewing time. We recommend that you consume your coffee within 20 minutes after brewing.
* 1 Starbucks spoon (scoop) = = 7 g of coffee * 2 tablespoons = 10 g coffee
